Apologies

I know it's been way too long since I've posted anything. We have definitely fallen into the 2-kid trap and have been completely negligent on taking any pictures. Everyone here is doing great. Megan finishes up school this week and Tyler is, well, a boy. He's almost 18 months old and busy as ever.

Oh, by way, did I mention that #3 is on the way? We had an unexpected surprise and have been staying busy with everything else. I've been in denial about it for a while, but it still doesn't change that fact that I'm having another baby in August. My due date is August 18, but we'll do a c-section on the 11th. It's another boy and we've named him Caleb John. Tyler and Caleb will be 20 months apart. Megan is thrilled that she's having another brother and I'm glad that she's so excited.

So, I make no promises on how much posting I'll be doing. But I'll at least make an effort. Do you have any news for me? I'd love to hear from you!

Tyler walks!

Well, I was finally able to get some video of Tyler doing some walking. This video was taken February 16 and he had been taking a few steps off and on for a week or two before this. But, every time I would try to take video of it he would get frustrated and not want to do it anymore. So, since David was around to help do the camera, we were able to get him moving. And, as you'll see, Megan had to be right in the middle of all the action. She was very proud of her brother. And now he's kind of doing half and half. He'll usually walk around the house, but if he's mad or trying to get to me quickly, then he'll crawl. But overall, he's doing great. Hope you enjoy!

Rockin' around the Christmas Tree

As I was putting away our Christmas decorations, I was letting Tyler play with this one thing that I got from Hallmark a few years ago. It's a snowman and two penguins and when you push a button, it plays a song and they all dance and ring bells. It's a really cute little decoration that the kids (and me) love playing with. So, Tyler was having fun pushing the button to make it start and soon he started dancing with it. It was TOO CUTE! Here's a video I got of it. Enjoy!

The Holidays

We survived Christmas and everything was a lot of fun. The kids were great and really made the time together very special. We didn't really do anything real exciting during the break. I think the best part was finally getting back into our schedule, which was today! Megan was so excited to get back to school. She just adores her teacher and couldn't wait to see her again.

We managed to get a great family picture during the Holidays. We took it on Christmas Eve before heading off to church. It was the first one and it was just perfect. I couldn't help but share it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER!!

I can't believe that Tyler is ONE YEAR OLD! His big day was on Friday and, for the most part, it was a great celebration. As expected he downright refused his cake and got pretty upset with me trying to stick some frosting in his mouth. So after making a complete mess of both of us, I stopped the torture and gave him a quick bath while the party attendees enjoyed their part of the cake. After Tyler got cleaned up, we helped him open his presents. It was a bit of a task to keep him focused, but that's all part of the fun! He seemed to enjoy the fun and we all certainly enjoyed the entertainment!
